Decision making about nasal reconstruction after Mohs

Department of Otolaryngology: Head & Neck Surgery and Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

This mixed-methods study examines decision making and concerns (such as appearance, surgery, cancer outcomes, financial cost and recovery process) for patients undergoing nasal reconstruction surgery after Mohs surgery. The goal of this study was to develop a patient-centered intervention to improve the shared decision-making process for patients with nonmelanoma skin cancer (NMSC) and to investigate the factors that can affect patients’ decisions about nasal reconstruction after Mohs surgery.
