Implementing Shared Decision Making for Breast Cancer Using a Coproduction Learning Collaborative

Dartmouth College, Coproduction Laboratory within The Dartmouth Institute and Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology

The overall goal of this project is to implement shared decision making across many breast care teams. To do this, the goal is to engage breast cancer teams in a learning collaborative in which clinicians from across the United States and beyond support one another in using conversation aids for early-stage breast cancer treatment decisions. Dr. Mary Politi is a co-investigator and was the site principal investigator of the original trial comparing the effectiveness of conversation aids for early-stage breast cancer treatment decisions.

This project is led by Dr. Glyn Elwyn and Dr. Julie Margenthaler.
